I believe in decorative storage. I love the suitcases the most as they all fit together and square or rectangle fit the best on a shelf. The problem is none of them match. Now I know what to do to them. I can’t put anything on my suitcases that isn’t flat because they need to lie on each other. I won’t get as elaborate as the pillow top inside the top of this in the video. (although I love it)

I have two sets, of three, in pink and tropical blue that matches nothing in the room. So I’m excited to use some of my vintage books and get it done, or at least started. I need to get some decoupage.

Here it is for you:

I love these:

I’ve made about 50 or so stick pins. A few are in equal sets. Easier yet more difficult to make.  Not as creative so not as much fun, in my opinion.  Anyway, I’m running out of space in my foam holder and I really don’t want more than one of my desk, so we are getting together to make these adorable stick pin match book style holders.  And you know what? I have all the supplies already and didn’t even know it before I hit “play.”

So bring your paper, and I’ll make some pins with ya and we’ll put together a couple quick gifts to have on hand for those little emergencies in life.. called “I forgot” or “I didn’t know” even.

Here are the directions. Happy crafting

Yesterday I received a phone call from a deeply accented man whom I believe was from India.

He claimed he was from Windows and that they were receiving multiple errors from my computer and that it was at risk and I needed to follow his directions.

He said that my computer was at great threat to be hacked.  I told him that I didn’t know who he was and I didn’t wish to do anything he was asking me to.

We reversed the phone number and it was a Verizon cell phone out of New Jersey.

I told him that I wanted to talk to his supervisor and he informed me that he was not available.

I told him that I wanted a way to call HIM back and then I’d follow his instructions, all along feeling that this was a serious scam.

He gave me an 888 number and we called it.  Another Indian sounding accent man answered the phone and announced nothing about WIndows or Microsoft. (oh, by the way, I was supposed to ask for Brad Waeson. I asked him how to spell it, directly.)

I was specifically told, before we called the 888 number that “if you ignore this warning call and you get hacked it will be on your head.” I asked him since when does Windows make phone calls threatening me.  He insisted it was not a threat. I repeated back to him what he said and told him that I felt it was a direct threat.

Through all of this information, he thought I was following along on my computer. He started by telling me to turn it on, which it was already on. I started taking notes about what he wanted me to do.  I did nothing on my machine.  He wanted my machines ID number.

After we called the 888 number, I told “Brad” that “I didn’t appreciate his call and he could have a good night” and immediately hung up. I don’t know why I was so nice, other than I still had no idea what was going on.

So I turned to Google.

I found this thread that talked about it being a scam and there were 130 replies about it. Some were scammed and some were smart, like we were and hung up.

The interesting part about this is that this man called me by name and called me on my cell phone number which was not even my number when I purchased and installed Windows on this machine.  I’m doing all I can to scan now.  I had some real blog issues to deal with today and now that that is cleared up and I’ve written about this, I’m off to run the scans and do some behind the scenes clean ups.

Beware.  Don’t be fooled.  NEVER give any information over the phone to anyone calling you.  I only paid attention to this caller because he called me by name.

This blog has been updated to the shiniest newest WordPress software, along with all the plug-ins I use too! Hope it’s all looking good for you, dear reader! Love to hear some feedback!

There is so much more to blogging that writing posts.

If you are new to wordpress, you’ll soon learn that there are many backdoor things you need to perform regularly.

You need to update wordpress and plug-ins.  You have to update broken links in your sidebars.

When you have multiple blogs, like I do, this can take up a lot of time.

With this in mind, I’m designating Monday’s admin days.  I may include some curated posts or quote posts, as well.  I hate to leave the whole day for behind the scenes updates but today its overwhelming after coming back from such a long unplanned hiatus.

This blog, especially has some troubles that may take more than my brain power to fix.  Along with some hangups in other blogs that I’ve taken to twitter for help. I was just editing something, after searching for the place to edit, and I missed something. Y’know, I can’t remember where it is nor can I find it again.  Story of my life.

Anyway, I’m going back to Admin duties and I’ll see you in the other blogz tomorrow.  This blog will just update things that pertain to all the blogs.  I’m trying to figure out how to say that on the other blogs without sounding or being repetitive.  Maybe I’ll just curate this post.  Good idea Heidi. Haha

Check me out on TasteSpotting.  TasteSpotting is a new pin type board for foodies.  You submit your photos for placement. You can pin, tweet, post to FaceBook, etc right from the photo.  I don’t have my own photos there but I’ve been bookmarking (I don’t know their terminology yet) my fav’s to share with you.

See you there. ~Heidi

Crafting can be so expensive and well, most of my already owned crafts are OLD and don’t do justice to some of the beautiful crafting eye candy I’ve been watching on YouTube.

I always have this fear, when I post a video “showcase” or a series that the owner will take it down. ooh, I wish I could Evernote a video!!

So I don’t lose these recipes, I’m going to list them, as there is no copyright on a list of ingredients.

Home Made Texture Paste
(Stucco is 50/50 sand/acrylic pain. You can buy little like one cup bags of sand at craft stores (and Walmart near vases and vase stones) with the shells and seashore type stuff. That would also be a nice new medium to play with.)

1/2 c Gesso
1/4 c Mod Podge
1+ c baking soda or talc/talcum powder

(I realized the baking soda is going to be a little grittier than baby powder but I can’t handle the scent, nor is it good for asthmatics to breathe baby powder. Until I can find an unscented, I’m staying away. I am curious, however if arrowroot powder. that I use to replace cornstarch, which is a talcum replacement, would work. I wonder if it would come out gummy. I’ll have to either try it, which will be a big waste.)

1/2 c Plaster of Paris
1/2 c Hot Water

1/2 c white glue
1 1/2 c white paint

Chalk Paint
5T Plaster of Paris
2.5 T Hot Water
2 c your choice color paint

Now for some eye candy using some of the above and some nifty crafting mediums I want to add to my craft bins: Drywall Tape, Crepe Party Streamer Paper, Seam Binding, and Twill Ribbon!

Thanks to the outstanding crafty ladies out there that make even their struggles look so much easier than some of us could hope to imitate.

I love to sell and buy online.

I love to give great feedback as I receive it not as its given.

The worse thing you can say to me as a buyer from a seller is that they will give me feedback after it is received.

That’s not giving me feedback for what I’ve done.  I’ve ordered your product. I’ve paid promptly, and I’ve done my part. THAT is what I get feedback for.

NOT for the feedback I give you.  YOU get it for what you do and I get it for what I do and simply that’s it.  If you want to wait to give me feedback based on what I give you is not giving me credit for what I’ve done and I won’t be doing business with you again.

If you wish to wait for my feedback before you give feedback, I don’t need your feedback!

Its been months since I’ve posted in any blogging.  I’ve had much trouble putting wording and conversation together.  I’ve then had computer trouble with mouse and keyboard trouble, which is still happening and frustrating together me even through today.

I have about 12 different post ideas that I just can’t get organized in my mind just to get out of my finger tips.  I just wanted to let you know that I’m here although confused and unable to to organized a thought together. I’ll be back soon.

I promise. 🙂
