Another Round of Amnesia ala Ambien

“I had this strange dream last night..”

Amnesia-induced Kitchen Disaster

Apparently, last night, after making some really quick cookies*, I went on a cake mix mixing frenzy.

That writing is on scotch tape, found, on the jar on the right, in my refrigerator.

Gross.

Don’t try this at home.  I have a 1/2 inch cut, on my right thumb.  Yes, the space-bar thumb. *sigh*

I don’t remember the bacon, the cake mix all  over the floor, or the pineapple.  I do remember cutting my thumb on the can of peaches and peeling the bananas.

I’m so glad they jarred up the disasters, instead of baking them, for me.

Ambien needs a safe word, because, apparently, “you need to go to bed,” doesn’t work.

No more Ambien and get back up, out of bed. (Or making phone calls.)

Now, I’m off to add “chocolate” to a spelling list.

*I did make the Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies before taken Ambien.*

I can completely empathize with this, I don’t know how many times I have woken up the next morning, and just had to wander around the apartment putting the pieces together of what weird thing I tried to accomplish. Occasionally there are some real moments of genius in there, but for the most part it is just ambien fueled insanity.

As for the phone, learn from me, just turn the thing off when you take your medication, there are few things as potentially embarrassing as ambien texting (I think they are worse then drunk texts even)!

    Hey Kenny!
I have taken Ambien for years, in different forms. I just increased this dosage, to find this horrible side-effect.
Thanks for sharing and for the comment. :)
